Wind Energy Income Supports Farms in Tough Times
POSTED 04/17/12
7 Feb 2012, The Scottish Farmer, By Jacqueline Adamson – MARTIN WALLACE has recently installed two XZERES turbines on his Larroch Farm at Monreith near Port William, Dumfries and Galloway, via VG Energy. The first turbine was in place Christmas week, with the second following at the beginning of January. The bases of the turbines were originally installed for Proven turbines, but with that company going into liquidation literally as the concrete was setting in the foundations, VG sourced two XZERES turbines to put in their place – a decision that Martin was more than happy with. "The XZERES turbines look very state of the art and aero-dynamic and I have heard nothing but good reports about them,” he said. “VG Energy has been great to work with."
“Although there were a few very small teething problems when the first turbine went up, VG was quick to sort those out.
We have friends who installed turbines through VG, so their praise of the company made our decision to go with them an easy one."
